Because Bitcoin is a media platform providing trading and technical analysis on all things crypto. As a leading resource, the company needed a logo that matched it's premium service. The design is base on the zeros and ones of which all cryptocurrencies are made, and the simple geometry of chart graphics. Combined with the diagonal angle, the symbol represents the new horizons in this vast landscape and reinforces the ethos of the site, "cut through the noise".
